Have ’03 Campy Record Carbon shifters.Rt rear cable frayed,broke twice in 3 mos at shifter. What’s up?

You sure it’s the right kind of cable? Get Campy OEM stuff, it’s ok to pay a bit extra for this part.

Also find a mechanic who knows how to dis assemble the shifter body, make sure there’s not a burr or something in there causing friction / fraying.

I’ve had cables fray in there before, but only after long use and very slowly so I had plenty of time to change them out. Been riding Campy since the 8 speed models first came out, now on 10 since ’03 or so.
